On the bright side, it’s been a great trade for both sides. The Yankees have increased their payroll (and also saw their payroll increase by about equal amounts in each of the last two years), and the Mets have gotten a good prospect for what was probably one of their worst contracts ever given out. I like that they kept Bartolo Colon on board, as he was an excellent pitcher last season and will only get better as time goes on.
However, there are still some questions to be answered. As time goes on, will David Wright’s health improve? Has Jacob deGrom improved much since his start with the Yankees? Will Phil Hughes eat up innings every year? Can R.A. Dickey stay healthy? What is going to happen to Daniel Murphy? Is Pedro Martinez going to come back and throw 1-2 pitches at 90mph in all of his starts this year, or is he gone?

in the end, “What a bunch of crap!” I said, and I went to bed.
The following day, I checked my email. The first thing that came up was an email from my sister with the subject “New York Mets for the win in Miami,” followed by the text:
“I just received an email from you – it’s about baseball! So, have you heard anything about this?” she asked excitedly.
For a moment, I forgot why I had written to her first, but then it all came back to me: She wants to see a game at Marlins Stadium with her husband and son…and they want me to come along.
I told her I was not interested in baseball, but we could go if there were no other choice… But if it turns out that we’re going for something else (i.e., if we’re not going for a game), then she should send an email saying that she didn’t plan on seeing any matches there in order not to waste so much money and time on tickets, etc. . . . . which is what happened last time? She said yes! So after sending her another email telling her what time and place (Marlins Stadium) we’ll be arriving and asking whether she needs any help getting tickets or anything like that (which is what i did last time!), I called my sister-in-law, who lives in Washington D.C., where they also play at Marlins Stadium; his wife answered:
She asked me whether we were going there for games or to see some concert or something like that… thinking that tickets weren’t cheap, while they’re pretty affordable compared to most MLB stadiums. And then his wife asked whether he could “get some good seats.” While total price is $12-$14 per ticket ($
