Weather is a fickle thing. It changes constantly, but it’s a good idea to take a few minutes to learn about your location and how it affects your health. Here are some basic facts about the weather in Merrick:
We’re going to a cottage in the Adirondacks. It’s got a fireplace, and there’s always fresh snow for us to make snowmen. Yay! Those are good things about this Cottage! It is so peaceful and quiet and serene; it makes me feel calm just thinking about it. There is only one bed in our Cottage, but we are okay with it because we can each have a part of the bed. I like that because I like having my space when I sleep. When you go outside, you can hear different kinds of birds singing and other animals saying their kind of noises – “hoo,” “coo,” “burr-a-burr.” Then there are owls hooting at night, too – they are the most beautiful sound in the world. The sounds remind us of how lucky we are to live in such a wonderful place with so many things to do that we never get bored. We love our Cottage because it’s got everything we need – food, shelter from Mother Nature on those snowy days, a fire in every room for warmth after I put up my bedding for the night…and air conditioning if Mother Nature has been especially mean today.
